This event promises a night filled with captivating words and inspiring performances featuring local poets Sara Sarna and Bob Hurd, with additional readings from Wisconsin poets Stephen Anderson, Barbara Ann Geiger, Kathie Giorgio, Nicole Nicholson, Paula Nordwig, Margaret Rozga, and Kathrine Yets.

Bob Hurd's observations and unique insights invite us to find the extraordinary in the ordinary. His poetry reflects on a lifetime of experiences, challenging cultural norms and conventions. Bob has lived across the Midwest, traveled the world during his 21 years in the Air Force, and settled in Milwaukee. His work, guided by the logical simplicity of Ockham's Razor, offers brief and meaningful expressions that resonate deeply.

Sara Sarna's collection of poems, inspired by trees, trails, and the natural world, is filled with hope for both the earth and mankind. Celebrating the spirit of the woods and the resilience of Mother Nature, Sara's work reminds us of the wisdom we can gain by simply stepping outside and listening.
